engagement!

thursday jed and i went to islands of adventure and universal studios.
we started the day out at 6:30 am (roughly), and proceeded with our 2 1/2 hour journey after stopping at dunkin donuts to fetch 2 glazed donuts, an orange juice, and a coffee (with extra cream and sugar) ;).
we arrived at the theme park(s) at approximately 9:00 am and quickly conquered islands of adventure since jed had never been. we then headed over to universal studios to try out the new simulated simpsons ride (which i was very bitter about and wanted to boycott since it took the place of my beloved back to the future ride) and then ride the mummy.
during this entire time, jed was very natural and non-suspicious, much to my dismay because i had suspected (and hoped) that he would choose this day to propose to me.
anyhow, we continued through the day, and at around 4:00 om we made the unanimous decision to stop and rest. after grabbing 2 sprites and a churro (for me!) we headed to the spinning universal globe and sat on the steps to unwind for a bit.
then, after i had just polished off my fried dough dipped in cinnamon and brown sugar, jed turned to me and said, "you know felicia, i've told you that i like you a lot, but i've never told you that i love you."
me, being unsure of what was happening, (since my mind had already decided that he was not going to propose) just simply replied, "nope, you haven't".
jed sweetly returned with, "well, i do. i love you."
me, for some reason still not fully catching up, stated, "really? aw, thank you." (i know, i'm an idiot!)
then, i happened to look down and jed has a box. i started to panic slightly, and as he opens it we both discover that the ring was not in it.
we both start to frantically look for it, jed searching his pockets and i looking around on the ground. i spotted it underneath his legs, so i awkwardly picked it up and handed it back to him. after rearranging it in it's proper holding place, he turns and says, "will you marry me?"
i said yes of course, because i love him to pieces... which i told him, eventually!

i'm so happy to have been blessed with such a great guy, and i can't wait to get married!
