we got a new car...! my honda was about to explode so we hurried up and traded it in and got a 1999 jeep grand cheerokee. jed loves it, and i am having trouble getting over the initial grief of losing my beautiful honda. but i think i'll like it soon. :)

fiesta

in may my maid of honor katie miller threw me the wedding shower in the whole wide world. we decided on a fiesta theme to bid farewell to my thoroughly mexican name. she did a great job organizing everything and the decorations were great! we had a lot of fun. thanks katie!

humble abode

so in march we bought a used trailer. during our engagement jed and i discussed what we wanted in a "first home" and we both decided we would be content with something small and cheap so that later, once we get a better handle on our student loans, we would have some kids and eventually build the house of our dreams. that's the plan anyway...
so, jed took the role as an active pursuer of our perfect starter home. we decided that the trailer route was the cheapest way to go, assuring pretty low payments. we had many leads, and actually went through the process of applying for a loan to get a very nice new trailer, but after realizing it wasn't going to be as cheap as we thought, we reconsidered. THEN, jed found THE ONE. a used $16,000 trailer. are you thinking "ew"? cuz i thought that too. so i went and looked at it, and it really wasn't that bad. i actually kind of liked it, and now having lived in it... i love it. it's absolutely huge! but the weird thing is that there is no door to the master bedroom...
